UNHIDDEN — Terms of Service, Disclaimer & Informed Consent

1. About Unhidden

Unhidden is a mental wellness advisory and coaching platform that provides individuals with access to personalised, non-clinical mental wellness support operated by [Your Full Legal Name] ("the Advisor"). The Advisor holds a Masters-level qualification in a mental health-related discipline and has specialised training in trauma-informed support. The Advisor is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical professional and does not operate as one through this platform.

2. Important Disclaimer — Not Therapy, Not Medical Advice

This is Not Therapy or Psychotherapy

The services provided through Unhidden are mental wellness coaching and advisory services. They are NOT psychotherapy, clinical counselling, psychiatric care, or any form of licensed mental health treatment, and are NOT a substitute for any of the above. No therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship is formed through the use of this service.

This is Not Medical Advice

Nothing communicated through Unhidden constitutes medical advice, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment. The Advisor will not provide diagnosis of any mental health condition, prescription or recommendation of any medication, or medical opinions or clinical evaluations of any kind.

No Professional Liability for Advice Given

The guidance and support shared by the Advisor is provided in a personal, educational, and supportive capacity only. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on any information received through Unhidden. The Advisor is not liable for any outcome, action, or inaction you take as a result of engaging with this service.

Limitations of the Service

The Advisor cannot write letters for court, legal proceedings, or insurance purposes; provide clinical assessments for employment or disability claims; act as an expert witness; diagnose or treat any mental health condition; or prescribe or advise on medication.

3. Crisis Situations & Emergency Protocol

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

If you disclose suicidal ideation, intent to harm yourself or another person, or any situation requiring immediate emergency intervention, the Advisor will encourage you to contact emergency services and provide crisis resources. In situations involving risk to life or legally reportable disclosures, the Advisor may be required to take appropriate action in accordance with applicable laws.

4. Subscription, Billing & Cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorise recurring monthly charges until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days. Refunds are not provided once a billing period has commenced except at the Advisor's sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.

5. Your Responsibilities

You agree to: provide accurate information during onboarding; use the service for lawful personal purposes only; engage respectfully with the Advisor; not share your account access; not rely solely on Unhidden for your mental health and wellbeing; and seek emergency or clinical services when your situation requires it. The Advisor reserves the right to terminate your membership without refund if you engage in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour.

6. Confidentiality & Privacy

Your information and conversations will not be shared with third parties except where required by law, where there is a credible risk of serious harm to you or another person, or with your explicit written consent.

US Privacy Rights: If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data is collected, the right to delete your data, and the right to opt out of data sales. Unhidden does not sell personal data.

7. Member Anonymity

All members may sign up using a pseudonym and any valid email address. No real name is required. Payment card details are held solely by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never seen or stored by the Advisor.

Members who add the Anonymity Add-On receive a randomly assigned member code used in place of any name, with explicit confirmation that no identifying information is stored or referenced by the Advisor.

Limits of Anonymity: If a disclosure creates a legal duty to act, the Advisor may be required to act regardless of anonymous status. No digital channel can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. Advisor Anonymity

The Advisor operates Unhidden under a professional alias and does not disclose their personal identity, physical location, or identifying information to members. By agreeing to these Terms, you agree not to attempt to identify, locate, or contact the Advisor outside of the Unhidden platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Advisor is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, any decisions you make based on guidance received, or any harm resulting from your failure to seek appropriate clinical or emergency services. Total liability shall not exceed fees paid in the three months preceding any claim.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Advisor operates. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

11. Informed Consent

By checking the boxes below, I confirm: that I understand Unhidden is a mental wellness coaching and advisory service — NOT therapy, clinical counselling, or medical treatment; that no therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship is formed; that the Advisor cannot provide medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or medication recommendations; that Unhidden is not a crisis service and I will contact 988 or emergency services if I am in immediate danger; that I am 18 years of age or older; that I am entering this service voluntarily and of my own free will; and that I understand I am responsible for my own decisions and the Advisor is not liable for outcomes arising from guidance I receive.
